'TEMPEH RICE FEAST' 

TEMPEH RICE FEAST at JENs-style with a spicy bite.
Tempeh is made of sojabeans and is protein-rich.
I love meat but I also love Tempeh. This dish is a must-try!
It taste SO fantastic and it's packed with vitamins and minerals. Tempeh Ricefeast is super fun and easy to prepare.

TEMPEH RICE FEAST

INGREDIENTS

*Coconutmilk or cream by choice.

◻︎Brown Beans (fresh or jar) 500 gr.
◻︎Jasminerice 250 gr.
◻︎Sunflower oil
◻︎Tempeh 1x   
◻︎Red Paprika 1x   
◻︎Aubergine 1x   
◻︎Tomatoes 3x 
◻︎Coconutmilk/Cream 400 ml.
◻︎Garlic 2 cloves   
◻︎Red peppers (chilli) 2x
◻︎Sea salt  2 tl. 
◻︎Brown Sugar 2 tl.  
◻︎Sereh 2 tl. 
◻︎Chili Lemon 2 tl.  
◻︎Djahé 2 tl.  
◻︎Masala 2 tl.
◻︎Black Pepper

TOOLS

◻︎Wajang
◻︎Elektric rice cooker/Cooker
◻︎Ladle
◻︎Peeler
◻︎Cutting blade
◻︎Cutting board
◻︎Sealables trays (left-over)

MISE & PLACE

*If you don't have an electric rice cooker, follow the instructions on the rice package.
1. Wash the rice.
2. Cook the rice in the Rice Cooker, under (measure: 1 fingertip) of water.
3. All dry spices on 1 plate separately.
4. Prepare (coconut) cream in a mug.
5. Cut Tempeh into thin slices, then cut in half and into small cubes.
6. Pit the Garlic and chop finely.
7. Finely chop the red Peppers (chilli).
8. Pit and finely chop the Paprika.
9. Coarsely chop the Tomatoes.
10. Coarsely chop the Aubergine.
11. Place everything neatly on the counter. Ready for preparation.

PREPARE
1. Wajang on the heat (medium-high). Sunflower oil in the pan.
2. Oil at temperature (150*) add the tempeh.
3. Add the Paprika.
4. Add the soy sauce Manis. Let it stand for about 10 minutes.
5. Add a little pepper and the dry spices.
6. Add the tomatoes. Stir gently.
7. Add the coconut milk/cream of your choice.
8. Add the Aubergine. Let simmer for 15 minutes.
9. Then add the Tomato puree, Garlic and red Peppers (chilli).
Let this simmer for 10 minutes. Stir gently every now and then.
10. Add brown Beans. And stir it gently, letting it simmer for 10 minutes.
11. Gently spread the rice over the dish. Then stir gently everything together.
Dinner ready. Selamat makan!
